1:200 Blue1 Star Alliance MD90

Originally started as Air Botnia, Blue1 was branded in January 2004 after low-cost competitor Flying Finn ceased operations. Owned by the SAS Group, Blue1 is also a member of the Star Alliance. As part of its membership in the Alliance, the airline has painted one of its McDonnell-Douglas MD-90s in the Star Alliance paint scheme. This MD90 has since left Blue1 and is waiting to be bridged into the MD90 fleet of Delta Airlines.

1:200 Japan Airlines 2011 Scheme MD90

In 2011, Japan Airlines introduced new corporate branding and a new color scheme, bringing back the long-serving crane logo. Titling received an updated font as well. The aircraft color scheme itself is rather bland, being yet another in a far too long list of "white whale " schemes that are en vogue in the airline industry these days. This decal provides the markings for the McDonnell-Douglas MD-90. JA8070 was the first MD-90 repainted. With the fleet due for retirement in March 2013, few, if any, other aircraft are likely to see these colors.

SAS was one of the very few operators of the MD90 operating eight of the type. SAS phased out the last MD-90 in the late 1990s with the fleet moving on to Blue1 and Hello, later all of the eight ended up with Delta Air Lines.
