Prior to the termination of a long-term contract in 2004, Ryan International Airlines operated 11 Boeing 727-200 freighters for Emery Worldwide, in full Emery colors.  The aircraft were owned by Emery, but leased to Ryan.  Eight non-advanced ex-United Airlines 727-222s were acquired in 1994-95, followed by 3 Advanced 727-225s in 1999 (coming from Northwest Airlines).

At one time, Emery Worldwide owned a large fleet of Boeing 727-100 aircraft.  Throughout most of their time with Emery, the aircraft were operated under contract by Ryan International Airlines in Emery colors.  The aircraft were acquired beginning in the 1980s, and originally operated in a mostly red color scheme.  In the late 80s, Emery adopted a new livery featuring red and green stripes depicted by this set.

For a couple years prior to ceasing operations in 2001, Emery Worldwide Airlines operated seven DC-10 freighters on behalf of Emery Worldwide Freight.  The DC-10s were chosen after Emery Worldwide had conducted an evaluation of Airbus A300B and Lockheed L-1011 freighters (operated by contract carriers).  The first aircraft (DC-10-10 N68041) was delivered in late 1999.

At one time, Emery Worldwide was one of largest operators of Douglas DC-8 freighters. While the aircraft flew for parent company Emery Worldwide Freight, they were operated by Emery Worldwide Airlines, until the airline was forced to shut down or face the revocation of its operating certificate by the FAA, following a series of failures in its maintenance program. Emery operated several variants of the DC-8, including the -54, -62, -63, -71, and -73. Emery's final color scheme featured an all-white fuselage with green and red stripes.
