Bluebird Cargo was founded in 2000 by a group of aviation professionals. The airline began operations in 2001, and was purchased by the Icelandair Group in 2005. Bluebird provides scheduled and ACMI cargo operations from Iceland and throughout Europe. The fleet consists of 2 Boeing 737-400s (TF-BBA, -BBB) and 5 737-300s (TF-BBC, -BBD, -BBE, -BBF, and -BBG).

For a few short months following the merger of Pan Am II and Carnival Airlines, four Boeing 737-400 aircraft operated in full Pan Am colors. The airlines merged in the fall of 1997, and the combined entity collapsed the following February. The aircraft were painted in Pan Am's billboard livery.

Alaska Airlines is a large operator of the 737-400. At one point Alaska operated 30 737-400s. One of these was converted to the world's first 737-400 freighter, see our Alaska Air Cargo set 737-65, and four were also converted to combi's. This set depicts the standard scheme on the Alaska 737-400 fleet.

Alaska Airlines operated the very first 737-400 freighter. The aircraft was a former Alaska Airlines passenger aircraft prior to its conversion to a pure freighter.

Varig Airlines of Brazil fell victim to the same financial difficulties as the other Brazilian "legacy" carriers, but managed to limp along long enough to eventually end up as part of GOL. During the mid-2000s, Varig simplified its paint scheme by dropping the blue on the lower portion of the fuselage and going with the "Euro-White" look. This set depicts this simplified scheme on the 737-400.
