Prince Rupert, British Columbia based Trans-Provincial operated this yellow Goose s/n 1077 between 1969 and 1980. This Goose was originally operated by the USCG as V-185, later on to Pacific Coastal where it still operates.

Avalon Air Transport started operations in 1953 with one Grumman Goose - N1503V.  Based at southern California's Long Beach Airport, they ran daily round trips to the Pebbly Beach seaplane ramp near Avalon on Catalina Island, CA

This decal sheet was inspired by a 1959 episode of “Sea Hunt” called “The Amphibian”   Mike is taking a group of divers out to an island for a days dive by seaplane.  The star of the show is the Goose, #5 – N1543V.  The pilot in this episode is called Dick Talbert. His real name is Dick Probert, the pilot and owner of Avalon Air Transport.  Use this set with the F-Toys Grumman Goose model kit.

In 1962, Alaska Coastal Airlines of Juneau and Ellis Air Lines of Ketchikan merged. The merger produced the biggest Grumman Goose fleet in the world which included 19 "Geese."  Goose operations continued past the purchase of Alaska Coatal by Alaska Airlines, but all the amphibious operations were eventually phased out in the 1970's. This set depicts N79901 as it appeared in the full Alaska Coastal colors in the 1970s.
