U.S. express carrier FedEx has operated a large fleet of converted Airbus A300 and A310 freighters (over 120 different aircraft).  In 2001, FedEx became the launch customer for the freighter version of the Airbus A380, ordering 10 aircraft.  As delays mounted with the program, FedEx cancelled the order and instead ordered Boeing 777Fs.  These decals provide the markings for what the aircraft might have looked like in FedEx service.***NOTE-This is a NON STOCK item and will require a minimum of two weeks lead time to print***

Always a leader in new aircraft orders, Pan American Airways was one of the launch customers for the Airbus A380, as it had been for the Boeing 747, over 30 years before.  Pan Am's initial order was for 10 of the Super Jumbos, which were delivered in the classic Pan Am Billboard scheme.  Set includes Clipper names Super, Behemoth, Goliath, Immense, Leviathan, Massive, Samsun, Gargantuan, Gigantic and Colossal.

Following its successful defense of its Dallas hub against American Airlines, Braniff International continued to benefit from its strong Latin and South America network.  To keep up with the growth on those routes, the airline ordered 5 Airbus A380's.  In keeping with the retro paint scheme trend that has been popular in the industry, Braniff painted its A380's in the 1960's  "Jellybean " scheme.

After defying the odds and staving off several merger and takeover attempts, Hughes Airwest successfully grew its domestic network across the U.S.  The next step was to cross the oceans to Europe and the Pacific.  To serve these long distance markets, the airline ordered 5 Airbus A380’s.  The aircraft were delivered in the airline’s iconic all-yellow color scheme.  Following a tradition that began with the Boeing 727 fleet, the new aircraft received “Spirit of...” names.  Appropriately, the first aircraft (N380RW) is The Spirit of Howard Hughes.
