1:125 TWA Project Skinny 727-200
Our Price: $15.00

During the early 1980s, TWA stripped the white paint from a single 727-200 then applied the then current "twin-stripe" scheme to N64339.  This was an exercise to see if the additional work of maintaining a bare metal scheme would offset the reduced fuel burn from the reduced weight of the 727.  Entire aircraft is bare aluminum with the exception of the composite areas which were Boeing Gray.  Decal according to diagram.  N64339 was delivered to TWA on 8-29-74, was the only TWA 727 to wear all four TWA paint schemes, was the TWA 727 highjacked flying from Beirut to Algiers in 1985, and operated the final TWA 727 flight on September 30, 2000 as flight 78 from New Orleans to St. Louis.
1:125 Northwest Delivery A320's
1:125 Northwest Delivery A320's
Our Price: $15.00

In 1986, Northwest Airlines placed an order for Airbus A320 aircraft.  The first two aircraft, N301US and N302US, were delivered in 1989 in Northwest???s then-current color scheme; however, prior to entry into service, Northwest unveiled a new livery - the so-called Bowling Shoe scheme.  These two aircraft were quickly repainted into the new colors after delivery, but before their first revenue flights.  The older scheme featured a bare metal fuselage with white and blue bands and a red tail.  Because of its manufacturing process, Airbus could not deliver the A320 with a bare metal fuselage, so the Northwest aircraft were painted light gray.
