1:144 Royal Air Force Raytheon Sentinel R1s

|

In 2008, the Raytheon Sentinel R1 entered service with the Royal Air Force. The aircraft provides stand-off radar surveillance of the battlefield area, similar to the USAF’s E-8 JSTARS aircraft. Five aircraft are in service with V Squadron at RAF Waddington. The fleet has seen operation in all of the recent overseas deployments of UK forces, including Afghanistan, Libya, as well as the fight against ISIS.

1:480 Royal Air Force Galaxy C.Mk1 FLIGHT OF FANCY

In 1970, the Royal Air Force ordered 10 Lockheed C-5A Galaxy heavy transports to update the country’s strategic airlift capability. In RAF service, the aircraft was designated Galaxy C.Mk1. Following tradition, the individual aircraft received names, in this case Roman deities.

1:200 RAF Poseidon MRA1s

In July 2019, the Royal Air Force’s first Poseidon MRA1 had its first flight. The United Kingdom has ordered nine of the Boeing P-8 patrol aircraft to replace capabilities lost with the retirement of their Nimrod fleet several years before. The first aircraft (ZP801) is named “Pride of Moray” as a tribute to the region of Scotland in which the Poseidons’ home base of RAF Lossiemouth is located, and its historic ties to the UK’s maritime patrol heritage. Also included are ZP802 "City of Elgin" and ZP803 "Terrence Bulloch DSO* DFC*"

1:144 Royal Air Force 99 Squadron Anniversary C-17A

In 2016, the Royal Air Force’s 99 Squadron painted C-17A ZZ176 with special tail markings to celebrate the squadron’s 99th anniversary. A large stylized rendition of the squadron’s puma covers most of the vertical stabilizer.

In 2018, the Royal Air Force’s 99 Squadron painted C-17A ZZ177 with special RAF 100 tail markings to celebrate the service’s Centenary. Like all other types that received special markings, a large RAF 100 panel was applied to the vertical stabilizer.

1:144 Royal Air Force C-130Ks, Delivery Scheme
|
|

The Royal Air Force took delivery of its first Lockheed C-130K Hercules C.1 in late 1966. After outfitting by Marshalls, the aircraft were painted the Far East scheme of Light Stone and Dark Earth over Night Black and begin entering service in early 1967. This decal provides the markings for the early scheme C-130Ks.
