Everts Air Fuel is the sister company to Everts Air Cargo, both Part 121 operators in Alaska. C-46F N1822M “Salmon Ella” was built in 1945 and is one of two C-46s operated by Everts Air Fuel. Paint the entire fuselage natural metal. Prop tips are a single band of yellow. Numerous photos are available on line at the various sites.

1:144 Blue Angels R5C-1 / C-46

For part of the 1953 show season, the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels operated a Curtiss R5C-1 (C-46) to support the squadron’s mission. The aircraft, a former USMC aircraft, had been based at NAS Corpus Christi, TX. This aircraft has the honor of being the first transport to wear Blue Angels markings while supporting the team.

Everts is the last US operator of the C-46, and one of very few C-46 operators left in the world. This set will letter either of Everts Air Cargo C-46s “Maid in Japan” N54514 or “Dumbo” N7848B.

For a period in the 1950s and 60s, Capitol Airways operated several Curtiss C-46 Commandos on behalf of Lufthansa German Airlines. Most of these aircraft wore no markings; however, N9891Z wore Lufthansa colors. This decal provides the markings for this aircraft.
